The Banking, Insurance and General Workers Union wishes to advise all our members that, following the close of nominations, the Supervisor of Elections has confirmed the members nominated to contest positions on the Union’s Central Executive Committee for the term 2026–2030.
Elections will be held on Monday September 07, 2026, in accordance with the directive of the General Council.
The attached membership notice lists the candidates nominated for the following positions:
- President
- Deputy President
- 1st Vice President
- 2nd Vice President
- General Secretary
- Deputy General Secretary
- Assistant General Secretary
This notice has been circulated to all General Council Members with instructions that it must be posted on all Union Notice Boards at your respective branches. Members are encouraged to review the notice carefully and to share the information with fellow members.
