A New Chapter Begins: BIGWU’s 2026-2030 Central Executive Officers Assume Office

Today, October 1, 2026, marks the official start of the 2026 – 2030 term of office of BIGWU’s newly elected Central Executive Officers.

Our new executive team is led by Cde. Debbie-Ann Ottley, BIGWU’s first female President, and she is joined by a full complement of officers:

  • Cde. Jaunvon Roach – Deputy President;
  • Cde. Tarshish George – First Vice President;
  • Cde. Keream Roberts – Second Vice President;
  • Cde. Mandy Clarke-Whitley – General Secretary;
  • Cde. John Mark Lee Wah – Deputy General Secretary; and
  • Cde. Vivian Joseph – Assistant General Secretary.

This new term represents an important milestone in the life of the Union and, over the next four years, these officers will carry the responsibility of strengthening the Union, defending and advancing the interests of our membership, and preparing BIGWU to respond effectively to tomorrow’s challenges.

BIGWU extends best wishes to the newly elected officers as they undertake this important responsibility and calls upon the membership to remain united, engaged and committed to the continued growth and development of the Union.

Together, we move forward in unity, solidarity and in the service of the working class.
