NOTICE CONVENING
10th BIENNIAL CONFERENCE OF DELEGATES
Notice Is hereby given that the 10th Biennial Conference of Delegates of
Banking, Insurance and General Workers Union will be held on
Saturday, November 05, 2022 (4:30 pm – 7:00 pm) &
Sunday, November 06, 2022 (9:30 am – 4:30 pm)
Venue to be confirmed
In accordance with Rule 7 (e) of the Constitution, all Branches of the Union are reminded of their responsibilities as follows: –
“It shall be the duty of the General Secretary to notify each Branch of the date appointed for the Biennial Conference of Delegates at least six (6) weeks in advance and each Branch shall within twenty-one (21) days of such notification submit to the General Secretary the names of the Branch delegates and such resolutions and other matters as the Branch may propose for inclusion on the agenda of the Biennial Conference.”

In addition, members’ attention is also drawn to Rule 7 (b) of the Constitution as follows:-
“The Biennial Conference shall be constituted of the General Council and delegates from each Branch of the Union elected on the basis of one (1) delegate for every fifty (50) members or part thereof.”

Branch Executives must inform the Union’s office of their delegates on or before October 17, 2022.
