Labour Insight 2019 – NEGOTIATIONS ROUND UP

In 2018, we have witnessed the barrage of attacks unleashed by the employers against the workers via massive retrenchments. They have gone on a war footing against the trade unions and workers. They are doing what they want notwithstanding the Collective agreements and established principles and practices of good industrial relations. In 2019, the workers have begun to push back. Pickets have been mounted at Central Bank, PALIG, CARDI, Express House and Western United Credit Union to name a few. Against this background, we have settled several negotiations with many more to go. We have to build greater solidarity. It is the only way forward!
