This Saturday, March 19, 2022, the Joint Trade Union Movement (JTUM) is making the call to all BIGWU members to come out and be present at the Palmiste Park, Palmiste, along with other member units of the Joint Trade Union Movement, as we UNITE TO FIGHT.

At the Palmiste Park on Saturday afternoon from 1:30 pm, various Trade Union Leaders, Religious Leaders, and Social Activists will deliver remarks on a number of challenges that are directly facing workers and citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. Some of the speaking points to be covered include:

• Against the implementation of forced vaccinations
• Outstanding negotiations (especially at state-owned agencies)
• The implementation of a 0/0/0 in Collective Agreements
• The delayed processing in concluding Recognised Majority Union (RMU) applications
• Workers who are not being paid under quarantine and/or isolation periods
• Lack of collaboration between Unions and Employers on addressing matters related to COVID-19, and
• Government Bureaucracy
